Andrew Zaharias

My name is Andrew W. Zaharias, and I was born in 1972 and raised in Mansfield, MA.  I graduated from Mansfield High School in 1990, attended Cape Cod Community College, and then entered a certificate program at Rhode Island Trade Shop Schools.

While attending R.I.T.S.S. at night, I worked full time for a landscape company.  Upon graduation, I became a certified auto body technician. I then took a break from landscaping to work as a technician for an Oldsmobile dealership. After a few short months, I realized that my passion was for landscaping, and I have been in the landscaping field since 1993.

My two partners, Jason Scott and Charlie Scott Jr., and I started Distinctive Landscaping & Lawn Maintenance in 1996, and now we have become a corporation called Distinctive Landscaping Inc. I am extremely proud to be a corporate shareholder as Treasurer in a company that we built together.

My daily roles for Distinctive Landscaping Inc. are human resources, overseeing equipment purchasing and maintenance, sales, and last but not least, customer and employee satisfaction.

I am an active member of ALCA  (Associated Landscape Contractors of America) where I attend classes to better myself and my business.

Personally, I have been married since 1995 and have two children. We live in Rhode Island in a great communitty where my wife is an active member of the PTO.  I am also a soccer coach for my son's team at the Boys and Girls Club of Cumberland-Lincoln. Spending time with my family is something I truly enjoy and owe a great deal of my personal success to my wife and children for their constant support.
